Lessons learned from Surah Falaq and Naas
We can strengthen the Khushu of Salah by learning and understanding the Suras that most of us already are aware of.
Lᴇssᴏɴs ʟᴇᴀʀɴᴇᴅ SᴜʀᴀH Nᴀᴀs﹕
﹡ Tʜᴇ sᴛᴏʀʏ ᴏꜰ ‘Kʜᴀɴɴᴀs’:
When Allah revealed the verse (And those who when they commit an indecent act, remember Allah and pleased forgiveness for their sins (3:35)) Iblis climbed a mountain in Mecca called Thawr and cried out in the loudest voice for his subordinate demons. They gathered around him and said: “Our master, why have you summoned us?”
“This verse”, he explained, “has been revealed. Who can take care of it with this and that [strategy]?”
One of the demons stood up and said, “Ill take care of it with this strategy..”
“You’re not that man for it”, Iblis rejected.
Another one rose and a similar suggestion , but Iblis said again, “You’re not the man for it”.
Then “Khannas” (sneaky tempter (Sura Naas: 4) said, “I can take care of it”.
“How?” Iblis inquired.
“I will fill them with false hopes and will tempt them with fanciful desires until they’re driven to sin. Once they have fallen into sin, I will make them oblivious of asking ‘Forgiveness’.”
“You’re the man for it.” Iblis confirmed, and put him in charge of that until the Day of Resurrection.

Therefore, Allah SWT says in Sura Naas:
Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “I seek refuge in the Lord of humankind,the Master of humankind,the God of humankind,from the evil of the Khannas (lurking whisperer)who whispers into the hearts of humankind—from among jinn and humankind.” (Sura Naas)
SᴜʀᴀH Fᴀʟᴀq﹕
Allah says in Sura Falaq:
Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreakfrom the evil of whatever He has created, and from the evil of the night when it grows dark, and from the evil of those ˹witches (Magicians) casting spells by˺ blowing onto knots, and from the evil of an envier when they envy.” (Sura Falaq)
Prophet (sm) taught us the Dua to ask to Allah SWT always: “? ???? ?????? ???? ??? ??? ??????? ?? ??? ????? ???? ? ???? ???? ??? ??? ??? ??????? ?? ??? ????? ? ?????’? ????.” (Narrated From Ayesha ( R), Muslim)
